One of life's greatest blessings is the opportunity to serve others. As we strive to glorify God and shine His light, the various ministries at Bethany rely on the selfless dedication of our volunteers. We invite you to join us in inspiring others to follow Jesus!

Kids and Students

Help shape the next generation by serving in a fun and meaningful environment.

Sundays 9 & 10:30 am

Inspire kids to follow Jesus with Journey Kids! Volunteer to build relationships, point kids to God's love, and follow best safety practices.

As a Transform volunteer you can help create a fun and safe space where middle school students (grades 6-8) can discover God’s love, build meaningful friendships, and find answers to life’s biggest questions!

Volunteer to help high schoolers (grades 9-12) grow in their faith through meaningful friendships, fun, prayer, and wrestling with life's big questions.

Make a difference by connecting people through outreach and hospitality.

This is the backpack food program for Elkhorn Public Schools. We provide non-perishable food for kids in need to take home for the weekends and to be distributed to hungry kids throughout the school day. Our volunteer opportunities include packing the bags, delivering the bags, and collecting the food items.

General Inquiries

We team up with the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging’s Home Delivered Meals program to fulfill the nutritional needs of homebound senior citizens in the Elkhorn area. Noontime meals are personally delivered Monday through Friday to senior citizens in need.

Once a month Bethany provides produce for Ukrainian Refugee families who live in Elkhorn. Help pack food bags and welcome families when they come to pick up their produce.

Want to support this ministry but can't be there in person? Another way to help is through donations!  We are in need of the following items to distribute to the families.  -Onions (white or yellow)  -Potatoes (golden, yellow or red)  -Green cabbage (whole head)  -Beets (Fresh - not canned or jarred)  Please bring your donation on the day of the event only to the Center Lobby between 8am-12:30pm. 

Gift cards are also welcome! We accept Family Fare or Hy-Vee gift cards.  Gift cards can be dropped off in the church office during office hours. Please label with "Food4Families" and the dollar amount.

MOBIA is a non-profit charitable organization providing mentoring programs for men, women and children in Nebraska and Iowa area. We partner with MOBIA to support their work. For more information please check out their website.

Volunteers will assemble and pack as many lunches as possible from 9:30 am – 10:30 am on Saturday mornings in Bethany’s Mission Center. All food and materials will be provided.

On the 4th Thursday each month from 9AM-3PM our quilters come together to make beautiful quilts which are then sent to countries all over the world through Lutheran World Relief.
