The Oasis

Luke 24: 50 – “Then Jesus led his followers out as far as Bethany and lifting up his hand, he blessed them.”

Bethany, the home of Jesus’ dear friends, Mary, Martha, and Lazarus, was such an oasis for our Lord during his earthly life. It was a special place where Jesus regularly came to both be blessed and to be a blessing as he experienced food, fellowship, and inspiration in the company of his closest followers.

In much the same way, “The Oasis” is a very special place where we gather each Wednesday to live out our Vision Statement: “Gathering around Jesus to believe, belong and bless.” As we gather for food, fellowship, and inspiration, each one of us will be richly blessed so that we can return to our busy lives refreshed and renewed to be a blessing to others.

Each Wednesday evening, we offer a delicious meal (see menu below) from 5:30-6:30 p.m., an inspiring 30 minute worship celebration at 6:30 p.m. and then an hour of spiritual growth opportunities for all ages from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Just as Mary, Martha and Lazarus gathered as a family, The Oasis is a family oriented evening, designed to bring families closer together and closer to Christ. The meal, worship and education are all family friendly for adults and children of all ages.

It is our prayer that “The Oasis” is a very special part of each of our weeks, where we experience the love of Jesus in an awesome way, as we “gather around Jesus, to believe, belong, and bless!”
