Love All Serve All - Habitat for Humanity Elkhorn Coalition

Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Its mission is to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat views its work as successful when it transforms lives and promotes positive and lasting social, economic and spiritual change within a community; when it is based on mutual trust and fully shared accomplishment; and when it demonstrates responsible stewardship of all resources.

The Elkhorn Coalition’s focus is to accomplish the mission and goals of Habitat in Western Douglas County. Our newest home build is in Waterloo.

Habitat for Humanity – Home for Sale!

The Elkhorn Coalition has started taking applications for the 2017 Habitat family partner.  The 2017 home will be located in Waterloo.  Family partners help build their own home and buy the home with a no-interest loan.  The home will be 1,400 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and a 2 stall garage.  This is a wonderful opportunity for a hard working family that needs a little extra boost in order to own their own home.  Learn more about Habitat’s Homeownership Program and find out how you could apply to purchase this house by contacting Janneane Gerot at Habitat at 402-884-6691 or jgerot@habitatomaha.org or Devanee at Bethany.  Flyers with more information are also available in the church office.
