Abide Network

Bethany is excited to partner with Abide Ministries, a Christian non-profit organization transforming Omaha’s inner-city one neighborhood at a time. Abide uses a holistic approach focusing on developing healthy neighborhoods through community building, family support, housing and partnerships. Abide partners with numerous churches because they believe as a community, we are better together.

Beyond Bethany Service Day

Service opportunities will be available for all ages and the nursery will be available for children age two and younger.

Children younger than middle school must be accompanied by an adult/parent. Everyone will receive a free t-shirt, snack and lunch.

Service Opportunities include:

School Mentoring

The Elkhorn school mentoring program is designed with an academic focus to provide on-going support for student success.  Volunteer mentors are paired with students who are struggling academically, socially or emotionally.  Mentors meet with their mentee at least once a week for 30 to 60 minutes.  Meetings are academic in nature and take place on school grounds.

Silver Friends

Silver Friends positively impacts our community by inspiring volunteers to spend time with senior citizens and enrich their golden years.  For many seniors who live in nursing homes, the emotional pain of loneliness is far greater than any physical pain they may feel.

Habitat for Humanity Elkhorn Coalition

Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Its mission is to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat views its work as successful when it transforms lives and promotes positive and lasting social, economic and spiritual change within a community; when it is based on mutual trust and fully shared accomplishment; and when it demonstrates responsible stewardship of all resources.

5th Mission Golf Tournament Fundraiser

Bethany's Mission Ministry is based on a principle of simply being good neighbors in our community and serving others, to live as faithful members of our community, be a supportive and encouraging presence and heeding Christ's command to "Go and do likewise..."  The proceeds of the golf tournament will go to Bethany's Mission Ministries and partnerships.

We invite you to join us in continuing the provide vital support to these programs.
