Habitat for Humanity Elkhorn Coalition

Habitat for Humanity’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Its mission is to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Habitat views its work as successful when it transforms lives and promotes positive and lasting social, economic and spiritual change within a community; when it is based on mutual trust and fully shared accomplishment; and when it demonstrates responsible stewardship of all resources.

Meals on Wheels

Food is one of the most basic of human needs. Yet it is something many of us take for granted. Some people are homebound, have no family members nearby, and have few options for getting groceries into their homes. Others may be physically or mentally unable to prepare meals. For those individuals, the ability to receive basic, reliable nutrition may mean the difference between independence and institutionalization.

Open Door Mission

Open Door Mission is a Gospel Rescue Mission committed to breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty. Each day, Open Door Mission's campus offers 816 safe, shelter beds to homeless men, women and children, serves more than 2,000 hot, nutritious meals and provides preventive measures to more than 275 peopl living in poverty.

Oasis Meal Ministry

The community meal is a big part of our Wednesday at Oasis; providing family and friends opportunity to eat and fellowship together. Professionally prepared and delicious, the meal is prepared and ready to serve upon your arrival. Many volunteers are needed for this important ministry.  Several time slots and positions are available each week including servers, set up / clean up, and food prep.  All evenings in the kitchen begin with prayer as volunteers gather to serve.
